It was another amazing experience for thousands of New Jersey Special Olympic athletes participating in the annual summer games at The college of New Jersey. After the spectacular opening ceremonies on Friday night, which included a fireworks show, the athletes took center stage in sports ranging from tennis, bocce, softball and swimming, among others.

And it was another successful weekend for the Cranford High School Unified tennis team -- with both Brian Curci and Dan Montealegre capturing gold medals during singles competition. For Curci, this is his second straight gold medal in singles. In doubles competition, Curci teamed with Unified partner Nate Halek to capture the gold -- winning a thriller by a score of 6-4. Montealegre teamed with Unified partner Riley Thompson to earn the gold as well -- giving Cranford a clean sweep for the weekend while not losing any matches.

Cranford was coached by Sally Curci.
